The Healing Power of Harp Music

The harp is one of the most ancient stringed instruments of ten strings. The harp produces a gentle, calm and soothing sound when plucked by the fingers. Since ancient times, man has discovered the healing power of harp music and has used it for his physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being.

Today, harp music is being used in hospitals and health care centres with positive results as it is discovered that not only drugs and medicine can heal. Hospitals have therefore accepted harp music healing to be used for patients alongside modern medicine.

I believe God is the author and creator of music, including the harp and harp music. The harp is one of the first musical instruments mentioned in the Bible (Genesis 4:21). Since God created man, He knew what man needed. God Himself is our Creator and Healer and He has also created healing from the harp just like plants that have healing properties in their leaves. He also gave harp music for healing, harmony with nature and connection to God Himself.

Throughout the Bible, we see the accounts and mention of the harp being used for worship, prayer, meditation, personal devotion, spiritual warfare, healing, and deliverance from evil spirits and physical enemy. Healing from the harp brings peace and tranquility to the man's soul.

The healing power of the harp music heals because the harp is heaven’s musical instrument and with the Holy Spirit anointing the fingers that pluck the strings and breathing upon the sound energy that it creates, God Our Healer is at work through the harp music. The healing from the harp is heavenly.

God, by His Grace has allowed man to see what happens in heaven and comprehend the origins of the harp and harp music and make use of the healing power of harp music.

Revelation 5:8 (NKJV)

“Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints”.

Revelation 14:2 (KJV)

“And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps”.

Revelation 15:2

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God”.
